2023년 10월 12일, 이스라엘은 요르단강 서안의 제닌을 급습하여 하마스 전투기 1대를 억류하고 다른 사람들을 다치게 했습니다.[1][2]2023년 10월 14일, 이스라엘은 도시를 침공하여 다수의 사람들을 죽였습니다.[3][4][5]2023년 10월 22일, 이스라엘군이 제닌의 이슬람 사원을 폭격하여 팔레스타인인 2명이 추가로 사망했습니다.[6]
팔레스타인 이슬람 지하드의 고위 지휘관인 아이저 모하마드 알 아메르가 제닌 난민촌에서 IDF와 충돌하는 과정에서 사망했다고 10월 27일 발표된 보고서가 밝혔습니다.[7]
