NGC 585는 Cetus 별자리에 있는 나선 은하로, 은하 중심에서 약 2억 4천 5백만 광년 떨어져 있다.이 물체는 1827년 12월 20일 영국의 천문학자 존 프레드릭 윌리엄 허셜에 의해 발견되었다.[4][5]
