The Ministry of Social and Family Development (abbreviation: MSF; Chinese: 社会及家庭发展部; Malay: Kementerian Pembangunan Sosial dan Keluarga; Tamil: சமுதாய, குடும்ப மேம்பாட்டு அமைச்சு) is a ministry of the Government of Singapore focusing on nurturing resilient individuals, strong families and a caring society in Singapore.
역사
MSF는 2012년 7월 31일 주민자치부 개편안이 발표되면서 2012년 11월 1일 결성됐다. 청소년과 스포츠 개발, 자선 거버넌스 그리고 정부의 피드백 부서인 REACH를 포함한 몇몇 포트폴리오가 문화, 지역사회 청소년부와 통신 정보부라는 두 개의 새로운 부처에 의해 인수되었다.[4]
책임
MSF의 즉각적인 우선순위 중 하나는 싱가포르 사람들이 결혼하고 그들의 첫 아이를 더 일찍 갖도록 돕기 위해 공공 정책을 재검토하는 것이었다. 또한 MSF는 도움이 필요한 사람들, 특히 위험에 처한 사람들을 더 잘 돕기 위해 사회 안전망을 강화하는데 노력할 것이다.[5]
임팩트
2018년 6월 Save The Children 조직의 'End of Children' 보고서는 싱가포르를 어린이들이 성장하기에 가장 좋은 나라로 꼽았다. 그 순위 방법론은 사망률 5 미만, 아동 스턴트, 학교 밖 아동과 청소년, 아동 노동, 아동 결혼, 청소년 출산율, 아동 살인율, 갈등으로 인한 탈주 인구 등 8가지 지표에 기초하고 있다.[6][7]
