메가폴리스 오디오 페스티벌(일명 메가폴리스)은 소리의 예술과 DIY(Do-It-Yourself) 문화를 위한 주말 행사입니다.이 축제는 예술가, 다큐멘터리 작가, 음악가, 팬들이 함께 모여 온라인, 방송, 무대에서 도전적인 오디오 작품을 제작하고 발표하는 비결을 공유하는 장 역할을 한다.매년 세계 각지의 아티스트와 지역 아티스트 및 예술 단체를 연결하기 위해 새로운 도시로 이동하는 메가폴리스(MEGAPILIS)는 모든 연령대의 사람들이 서로 교육하고 세상을 다르게 듣도록 영감을 줄 수 있는 저렴한 행사입니다.

메가폴리스(MEGAPILIS)는 2008년 Justin Grotelueschen(관리 디렉터)과 Nick van der Kolk(사랑과 라디오 부문)에 의해 설립되었으며 매년 새로운 조직위원회에 의해 운영됩니다.

메가폴리스라는 이름은 원래 미국의 북동부 메가폴리스와 사운드스케이프에 대한 도시 환경의 문화적 영향을 가리키는 메가폴리스의 변형이다.

공동 주최되는 축제 행사로는 하버드 대학 카펜터 센터의 보스턴 미디어 고고학, 매사추세츠 주 자메이카 평원의 액시움 갤러리의 박물관 건립 첼로 라이브 악보, 보스턴 과학 박물관의 WNYC 과학 프로그램 라디오 랩 라이브 공연이 있었다.

2010

두[16] 번째[17][18][19] 메가폴리스 대회는 메릴랜드 주 볼티모어에서 5월[20] 14일 와인드업 스페이스에서 시작하여 5월 15일과 16일 헥사곤 갤러리에서 계속되었다.2010년[21][22] 이벤트에는 다음과 같은 유명 아티스트가 참가했습니다.

2013

제3회[24] 메가폴리스 오디오 페스티벌은 2013년 4월 19일부터 21일까지 뉴욕에서 열렸으며, 대부분의 행사는[25][26] 뉴 스쿨과 그 주변에서 열렸다.다음과 같은 아티스트가 100명 이상 참가했습니다.

예술가들은 다음과 같은 60개 이상의 행사를 통해 관광이라는 축제 주제를 느슨하게 해석했다.

  • 텔레커뮤니케이션 네트워크를 이용한 즉흥음악의 글로벌 실험

2015

제4회 메가폴리스(MEGAPILIS)는[27] 북동부 메가폴리스 [31]외곽에서 열린 첫 번째 대회로, 대신 북부 캘리포니아 메가레지온에서 열렸다.이 이벤트는 2015년 7월 5일 샌프란시스코 CA의 The LAB에서 시작되어 7일 옴니 커먼스에 도착하기 전 오클랜드 각지에서 6일째를 이어갔다.그 주말에 몇몇 아티스트가[32] 출연했습니다.

  • 베이 에리어 실험용 일렉트로닉 뮤지션 Kevin Blechdom(Blechdom에서 온 블렉텀)이 팝 음악의 복수천사라고 자칭했다.

  • 가믈란 X, 발리 행렬의 의식을 확실히 서해안 곡선으로 리믹스한 앙상블

2015 메가폴리스 페스티벌의 테마는 프론티어였으며, 다음과 같은 30개의[36] 이벤트를 선보였다.
