마브 해게돈(1956년 3월 2일생, 워싱턴 오막에서 출생)[1]은 2018년 7월 30일부터 아이다호 보훈처장을 맡고 있다.[2]

헤게돈은 2012년부터 2018년까지 14구역을 대표하는 공화당 아이다호 상원의원이었다.그는 앞서 2007년 1월 B석 20구역을 대표하는 부치 오터 주지사를 임명해 아이다호 주 대표(2007~2012년)를 지냈다.[3]헤게돈은 2018년 아이다호 중장에 출마해 공화당 경선에서 3위를 차지했다.

2016년 12월 7일 헤게돈은 트위터를 통해 아이다호 주지사에 출마할 계획이라고 발표해 가장 먼저 발표했다.[16][17][18]

해거든은 2018년 5월 대선에서 15.1%의 득표율을 기록하며, 선거에 출마한 공화당 중 3위를 차지했다.[19]

성폭행 댓글

2018년 9월 28일 헤게돈은 트위터를 통해 성폭행 보도에 대해 "캐버노가 실제로 소변을 보려다가 성기를 발가벗긴 채 어떻게 고의로 번뜩이는지 여성 두 명이 직접 나서 설명했다"고 농담을 건넸다.그가 갓난아기였음에도 불구하고 이 두 간호사는 겁을 먹고 FBI 조사가 필요했다!"그 트윗은 반발과 비난을 받았다.이에 대해 헤게돈은 트위터를 통해 "나쁜 농담으로 의도된 것은 많은 사람들에게 무감각했다.사과드립니다.그것은 우리가 스스로에게 '언론을 하기에는 너무 늦은 때가 언제인가?'라고 물어보도록 하기 위한 것이었다. 성적 트라우마는 심각하고 현실적이며, 우리가 목격하고 있는 것은 목소리를 내지 않아도 괜찮다는 메시지를 보내는 것이다!아니야!"[20]헤게돈은 이 사건에 뒤이어 의무적인 인사교육을 이수해야 했다.[21]아이다호 폭포우체국 편집위원회는 "해저든의 서툰 사과는 그가 애초에 맛없는 농담에 무슨 문제가 있었는지 파악하지 못했다는 것을 보여준다"[22]고 밝혔다.
