만수라 대학교는 1972년 이집트 만수라 시에 설립되었다. 나일 삼각주 한가운데에 있다. 이집트의 가장 큰 대학 중 하나이며 만수라와 이집트의 문화 과학 생활에 많은 공헌을 했다.

역사

의학부는 1962년 카이로 대학의 분교로 설립되었다.[1] 1972년 대통령령이 동델타대학이라는 이름으로 이 대학 설립을 발표했다. 1973년 만수라대학교로 명칭이 변경되었다.

2018년 초식성 리토스트로티안 사우로포드 공룡의 속인 [2]만수라사우루스가 만수라 대학 고생물학자 헤샴 살람 산하 연구팀에 의해 발견돼 대학의 이름을 따왔다.[3][4]
