개요

MHT는 인도판유라시아판의 충돌로 인해 인도와 유라시아판의 지각 단축을 수용한다.[2] 크러스트의 변형 또한 주 정면 스러스트(MFT), 주 경계 스러스트(MBT), 주 중앙 스러스트(Main Central Strush, MCT) 및 남 티베트 분리를 포함한 플레이 구조를 따라 수용된다. MHT는 이러한 놀이의 근본 분리다. 이 순간 MFT와 MHT는 거의 전체 수렴 비율(15-21 mm/yr)을 차지한다.[3][4] 이 결함은 인도 아대륙이 히말라야 오로젠 쐐기 밑에 눌려 있는 곳을 규정한다.
