M-294는 미국 미시간 주 칼훈 카운티의 주 간선 고속도로다.존 엥글러 주지사 재임 시절인 1998년 시작된 합리화 과정의 결과로 신설되거나 재편된 소수의 고속도로 중 하나이다.M-294는 194번 주간(I-194)에서 동쪽으로 약 3.2km 떨어진 곳에 있으며 M-96과 배틀 크릭 남동쪽 I-94를 연결한다.
경로 설명
M-294는 상업지역을 거쳐 북쪽으로 100번 출구 I-94에서 비들레이크 로드를 따라 북쪽으로 운행한다.이들 업소를 지나 인접한 토지는 단거리로는 개발되지 않고, 일부 삼림지대를 통해 도로가 통한다.골든 에비뉴와의 교차로 북쪽에 위치한 이 고속도로는 주택가를 지나 M-96(콜럼비아 에비뉴)에서 종착한다.이 고속도로는 배틀 크릭의 남동쪽에 있는 에밋 타운쉽 내에 있다.[1][3][4]2010년 미시간 교통부(MDOT)가 완료한 교통조사 결과에 따르면 이 간선도로는 연간 평균 6,078대의 차량이 남쪽, 북쪽은 5,728대의 차량이 운행되고 있다.[5]이 고속도로는 국가의 경제, 국방, 이동성에 중요한 고속도로 시스템인 국가 고속도로의 일부로 포함되지 않았다.[6]
역사
비들레이크 로드는 1998년 10월 31일 주 관할로 이관되었다.[2]이 새로운 고속도로는 MDOT에 의해 M-294로 지정되어 1999년 국가 지도에 처음 포함되었다.[7]그 이후로는 라우팅에 변동이 없다.[3]
