린 마틴 패튼(1973년 출생)[1]은 미국의 이벤트 기획자 겸 전 트럼프 행정부 정무장관 내정자다.[2]

해치법 위반

2017년 12월과 2018년 4월부터 패튼은 자신의 정부 트위터 계정을 이용해 당파적 트윗을 '좋다'고 했고, 2019년 특별검사실(OSC)은 이런 행위가 연방 집행부 직원의 특정 정치활동을 금지하는 해치법을 위반했다고 판단했다.[2]2019년 5월, 해치법 위반 가능성을 묻는 질문에 패튼은 "솔직히 신경 쓰지 않는다"[41][42]고 말했다.OSC는 해치법 위반 2건에 대해 2019년 9월 패튼에게 경고장을 발부했다.OSC는 패튼에게 다른 두 가지 위반 혐의를 벗겼다.[43][44]

사생활

패튼은 자신이 약물 남용과 중독으로 고생해왔으며, 트럼프 가족이 힘든 시기를 이겨내 곁을 지켜준 것에 대해 공개적으로 칭찬했다.[14]
