린드블라드는 달의 북서쪽 끝자락 바로 너머에 위치한 오래된 달 충돌 분화구이다.이 지형은 Brianchon 분화구의 남동쪽과 Cremona의 북동쪽에 위치해 있습니다.

이 분화구의 가장자리를 따라 있는 미세한 디테일은 충격이 적은 역사로 인해 마모되어 표면에 둥근 가장자리의 움푹 패인 부분만 남아 있습니다.보다 최근의 충돌은 린드블라드 F가 동쪽 테두리로 약간 침입하여 북쪽 테두리와 남서쪽 테두리를 따라 여러 개의 작은 분화구가 있습니다.내부 표면은 중간점 바로 남쪽과 남서쪽에 인접한 분화구가 형성되어 있습니다.

관례상 이러한 특징들은 달 지도에서 Lindblad에 가장 가까운 분화구 중간 지점에 글자를 배치함으로써 식별된다.
