케네스 맥시

Kenneth Macksey

케네스 존 맥시 MC(Kenneth John Mcksey MC, 1923년 7월 1일 ~ 2005년 11월 30일)는 영국의 작가 겸 역사학자로, 특히 제2차 세계대전을 전문으로 다루었다. 맥시는 왕립 기갑부대에서[1] 임관하여 제2차 세계 대전(퍼시 호바트의 지휘 아래 군십자를 창설함) 때 복무했다. 맥시는 후에 호바트의 전기를 썼다.[2] 맥시는 1946년에 상임이사직을 얻었고, 1947년에 왕립 탱크 연대로 전보되었고, 1957년에 소령 계급에 올랐으며 1968년에 육군에서 은퇴했다.[3][4][5][6]

다른 많은 책들 중에서 맥시는 1940년 독일의 성공적인 영국 침공과 1980년대 후반의 NATO-와르사우 조약 충돌을 다룬 두 권의 대체 역사를 썼다.[7][8] 후자 《퍼스트 클래시(First Clash)》는 캐나다군과 계약 하에 이루어졌으며, 이러한 분쟁에서 캐나다의 역할에 초점을 맞추고 있다. 그는 1995년부터 그린힐의 대체 결정 시리즈 편집자 겸 기고자였다.[9]
