관절성

공동성은 연구에서부터 조달, 운용에 이르기까지 군사 프로세스의 모든 단계에서 교차 서비스 협력을 기술하기 위해 미군이^[when?] 만든 신조어다. 오늘날, 그것은 많은^[who?] 선진 군사들에게 받아들여지고 있다. 합동성은 효율성을 높이고 군사 예산을 절약하기 위한 요건을 충족시키기 위한 것이다.

'공동성'은 '공동의 목표를 달성하기 위한 공동의 노력으로 적어도 군대의 두 팔다리 강점을 통합하는 것'으로 정의되어 왔다.^[1] 공동작업은 공동작업의 발전에 중요한 요소다. 군^{[citation needed]} 지휘관의 유연한 리더십을 가능하게 하고, 효과적인 기능을 증가시키며, 군인의 팔다리에 관여하게 한다.

또한 합동성은 네트워크 중심 전쟁이라는 새로운 방식의 전쟁의 가능성을 만들어낸다. 네트워크 중심 전투는 정보의 표현과 분석, 그리고 서로 멀리 떨어져 있거나 심지어 군내 다른 부대의 구성원들과 떨어져 있을 수 있는 요원과 지휘 중심 간의 이동으로 특징지어진다. 이 새로운 기술과 전망은 군부가 과거에는 불가능했던 방식으로 작전 효율을 향상시킬 수 있게 한다. 개별적인 군대의 팔다리 안에서 점진적인 기술 발전으로 시작된^[when?] 것은 군대의 여러 분과를 포함하도록 성장했다.

이 접근방식은 공동성을 변화하는 세계에서 유연하게 진행하기 위한 열쇠로 본다. 그것은 새로운 사고방식의 개발을 통해 얻어지고 힘과 자원의 유연성에 선행하는 개념적 유연성을 강조한다.
