Jack Stang

잭 스탕은 존 A를 낳았다. 스탕(Stang, 1923년 10월 29일 ~ 1996년 1월 7일)은 미키 스필레인의 소설에서 개인용 눈 캐릭터 마이크 해머에 대한 영감이었다.[1][2]

제2차 세계 대전

제2차 세계 대전 동안 스탕은 사모아, 과달카날, 부게인빌의 태평양 극장에서 복무한 미 해병이었다[1].그는 전투에서 부상을 입었고, 살아남기 위해 소대 4명 중 한 명이었다.[citation needed]

뉴버그 경찰

스탕은 뉴버그 경찰서를 떠난 뒤 4번가와 뉴버그의 프런트 스트리트에서 인기 있는 강변 술집과 그릴을 운영했다.[4]화재로 폐허가 된 뒤 잭의 어머니인 프랜 스탕이 운영하는 아동복 매장으로 다시 문을 열었다.폭 4블록, 길이 약 1마일인 옛 뉴버그 강변 일대는 1960년대 후반 '도시재생' 프로그램의 일환으로 철거되었으며, 2008년 현재 잔디밭 경사지와 주차장 단지의 일부로 술집재산이 존재한다.
