IWPR(Institute for War & Peace Reporting)은 비영리 단체로 전문 언론인과 시민 언론인을 대상으로 교육 및 출판 기회를 제공하고 있습니다.

역사

IWPR은 1991년 유고팩스라는 이름으로[8] 발칸반도의 난국을 균형 잡힌 시각으로 보도한 뉴스레터였다.분쟁이 전면전으로 발전하자 유고팍스 뉴스레터는 발칸 전쟁 보고서로 이름을 바꿨다.

결국 1995년 말 보스니아에서의 전쟁을 끝낸 데이턴 평화 협정이 체결된 후, 뉴스레터는 다른 세계적인 분쟁 지역(원래는 주로 옛 소련 공화국들에 초점을 맞췄고, 그 이름을 단순히 전쟁 보고서로 변경했다.

1998년 다시 사명을 전쟁평화보고연구소로 바꾸고 비정부기구로 등록했다.

리더십

IWPR은 선임 언론인, 평화 구축 및 인권 전문가, 지역 전문가, 비즈니스 및 NGO 전문가로 구성된 이사회가 관리하는 3개 파트너 비영리 단체로 구성된 국제 네트워크입니다.국제 이사회 의장은 Financial Times의 전 회장 David Bell 경입니다.다른 멤버로는 [9]앤 애플바움, 조지 패커, 크리스티나 램 등이 있다.

회원 사망
