헨리 가디너 애덤스
Henry Gardiner Adams헨리 가디너 아담스(Henry Gardiner Adams, c.1811–1881)는 영국의 약사 겸 화학자로, 작가와 문집가로 알려져 있었다.[1] 그는 니모라는 필명으로 청소년 문학을 썼다.[2]
인생
아담스는 채텀의 기계학 연구소의 비서로 일했다. 퍼시 소사이어티 초창기에도 관여했다. 1872년 캔터베리 버게이트 가에 있는 그의 약사 겸 화학 사업에 대한 파산 절차가 발표되었다. 그는 1881년 5월 1일 켄트의 길링햄에서 죽었다.[3][4][5][6]
정치적 견해
1854년 아담스는 영국의 폐지론자인 프레드릭 체슨과 윌슨 아미스테드에 의해 '신의 이미지 인 에보니'라는 책을 편집했다. 아담스는 '에보니에보니 신의 이미지'에 대한 소개에서 모든 인간은 공통의 기원을 가지고 있으며, 따라서 흑인의 노예화는 부도덕한 것이라고 주장했다.[7]
