HD 130948 또는 목동은 목동자리의 갈색왜성 2개를 가진 변광성이다.이 별의 분류는 G1V로 태양과 비슷한 질량과 표면 온도를 가진 주계열성이다.이 별의 추정 나이는 47억 년(Gyr)으로 태양과 비슷하지만 수소나 헬륨을 제외한 원소 비율(63%)은 낮다.그러나 2009년 별도의 연구에서는 0.5 ± 0.3 Gyr로 훨씬 더 젊은 나이와 [7]태양과 매우 유사한 높은 금속 함량을 보였다.

2002년 이 별 주위를 공전하는 갈색왜성 한 쌍이 궤도에서 발견되었다.그들은 [9]하와이에 있는 제미니 노스 8m 망원경의 적응 광학 기구를 사용하여 발견되었다.이 두 별의 공전 주기는 10년이며, 이들의 질량은 태양 [7]질량의 10.9%이다.
