Geeta Guru-Murthy는 영국의 텔레비전 저널리스트다.그녀는 2013년부터 BBC 뉴스 앳 나인 등 아침 공지를 주로 선보였으며 BBC 월드 뉴스, BBC 투, BBC 뉴스 채널, BBC 월드 뉴스 등에 공지를 실었다.

초년기

구루머시는 리버풀에서 태어났으며, 아버지가 번리와 블랙번의 지역 병원에서 방사선사로 일했던 곳과 가까운 랭커셔 주 웨스트 브래드포드에서 자랐다.[3][4]그녀는 생화학을 공부하기 전에 오케스트라, 극장, 합창단에 참여했고 후에 직업을 바꾸었다.[3]

경력

구루-머시는 5뉴스로 옮기기 전 BBC의 지역 뉴스 프로그램인 BBC 룩 노스(요크셔와 노스미들랜드)의 기자였다.[5]1998년 1월, 구루-머시는 일리노이주 샴페인의 클린턴-르윈스키 스캔들 사건을 5 뉴스에서 다루었다.[6]2002년까지 구루머시는 BBC 월드, BBC 뉴스 24, BBC 아침식사 정규 업무로 아시아 투데이를 주최하고,[3] 2005년까지 BBC 라디오 4에서 뉴스를 발표하였다.[1]2002년에 구루-머시는 텔레비전 시리즈 '죽음을 깨우다'에 출연했다.

2017년 구루-머시는 BBC 여성 직원 몇 명 중 한 명이었다.[7]

사생활

구루-머시는 2002년 6월 인도에서 신혼여행을 떠나 연설문 작성자 겸 언론인 필립 콜린스와 결혼했다.[3][8]그녀의 동생인 크리슈난 구루-머시 역시 채널4 뉴스의 언론인이자 방송인이다.[1][9]
