Fexco는 아일랜드에 본사를 둔 금융 서비스 및 금융 기술 회사로, 변경 및 결제 카드 서비스에 주력하고 있다.[4][5] 본사는 케리 카운티 킬롤린에 위치해 있다. Fexco는 2019년 현재 2,500명 이상의 직원을[3] 보유하고 있으며 이 중 1,200명이 아일랜드에 본사를 두고 있으며 [6]영국, 스페인, 뉴질랜드,[7] 미국, 중동[8], 아시아 등 전 세계 29개국의 다른 직원들도 근무하고 있다고 밝혔다.[9]

역사

Fexco는 Brian McCarthy에 의해 1981년에 설립되었는데, 원래 아일랜드 시장에 환전 서비스를 제공하기 위해서였다.[1] 현재 펙스코 의장을 맡고 있는 매카시는 아일랜드 교도소 이사회 의장도 맡고 있다.[10]

타냐이스테 딕 스프링 전 회장은 2002년 펙스코 상무위원장으로 선임됐다.[11]

2009년 현재, Fexco가 제공하는 서비스에는 경품 채권, 동적 통화 전환, 관련 고객 서비스 등이 포함되어 있다.[12]

2010년 Fexco는 굿바디 스톡브로커스의 75%를 2,400만 유로의 헐값에 인수했으며 경영진은 나머지 25%의 지분을 인수했다.[13][14][15][16] 파이낸셜타임스는 아일랜드의 최고령 증권중개업자와 '아일랜드 개신교 기업 엘리트의 일회성 보루'에 붙는 수수한 가격표가 아일랜드 경제의 급격한 하락을 보여주는 또 다른 척도에 불과하다고 평했다.[17][18]

2015년 2월 데니스 매카시는 펙스코의 최고경영자(CEO)로 선임됐다.[19] 매카시는 개빈 오닐이 2014년 회사를 떠난 이후 활발한 CEO를 해왔다.[19] 환전공사는 2016년 펙스코에 인수됐다.[20]

2018년 펙스코는 굿바디를 중국 컨소시엄에 1억5000만 유로에 매각하는 계약을 거절했다.[21] 2019년 11월 굿바디를 중국은행에 약 1억5000만 유로에 매각할 수 있다고 발표했으나 2020년 7월까지 중국은행이 코로나바이러스 대유행의 불확실성을 이유로 이번 인수에서 철수할 것으로 알려졌다.[22][23][24] 2021년 3월, AIB는 굿바디 스톡브로커를 1억3,800만 유로에 인수하기로 합의했다고 확인했다.[25]
