신부는 2001년 9월 11일 알카에다의 공격으로 희생된 뉴욕시 신부 마이찰 판사를 기리기 위해 명명된 NY 수로 여객선이다.[4]
그 배는 2002년 3월에 세례를 받았다.[5] 이 여객선은 2009년 1월 15일 허드슨 강에 성공적으로 비상 착륙한 US 에어웨이즈 1549편의 승객들을 구조하는 데 참여했다.[6][7] 2012년 4월 6일, 그녀의 선장 모하메드 고다는 전복된 바지선 캐서린 G의 선원들을 두 번째 구조하기 위해 그의 선원을 이끌었다.
