Entwisleia는 홍조류 Entwisleia과의 단형속이다.태즈메이니아 남동부에서 온 이 속(모형종)은 오직 한 종(Entwisleia bella)으로, 네말리오피쿠스과(Nemaliophycidae)[1][2]의 새로운 과와 새로운 목 모두를 나타냅니다.

이것은 더웬트 강 하구에서 발견되는 해양 종입니다.수심 5.0~9.0m에서 자라며 모래로 덮여 있거나 먼지를 뒤집어쓴 갯바위 암초 평지에 흩어져 있다.발견된 곳은 연중 간헐적으로 폭우가 쏟아지고 [2]겨울에는 폭우가 쏟아진다.그것은 민물 홍조인 Batrachospermum과 매우 흡사한 깃털이[3] 있는 암수 해조류이지만, DNA 염기서열 분석에서는 전혀 [4][2]관련이 없는 것으로 보입니다.Scott et al. (2013)의 연구는 그것이 Colaconematales의 자매 [2]분지군으로 나타난다.
