엘리자베스 라이스 아치티에(Elizabeth Rice Achtemeier, 1926년 6월 11일 ~ 2002년 10월 25일)는 미국의 장로교 목사, 성서 교수, 저술가였다.

조기생활과 교육

1926년 6월 11일 오클라호마주 바틀스빌에서 태어난 아흐테미에르는 할아버지가 목사로 있던 장로교회에서 자랐다.[1] 그녀에게는 형제가 세 명 있었다.[2] 그녀는 스탠포드 대학에서 학부과정을 마치고 1948년부터 1951년까지 뉴욕의 유니언 신학교에서 공부했다.[1] 1950년 여름, 그녀는 뉴햄프셔 시골의 한 교회에서 부목사 겸 전도사를 지냈다.[2]: 16 독일 하이델베르크대와 스위스[3] 바젤대에서 대학원 과정을 거쳐 1959년 제임스 뮬렌버그 휘하의 컬럼비아대에서 박사학위를 마쳤다.[1]
