eSight는 시력이 낮거나 법적 실명 상태에 있는 사람들의 기능적 시력을 향상시키기 위해 고안된 웨어러블 의료기기다.이 장치는 캐나다에 본사를 둔 회사인 eSight에 의해 개발되었다.
역사
eSight는 캐나다의 전기 기술자인 콘래드 루이스에 의해 2006년에 설립되었다.그의 동기는 그의 여동생들이 사실상 일상생활의 거의 모든 활동을 보고, 일할 수 있고, 독립적으로 수행할 수 있는 장치를 만드는 것이었다.[1][2]
이 장치의 1세대인 eSight 1은 10월에 출시되었다.2세대인 eSight 2는 2015년 5월 출시돼 HD OLED 화면, 향상된 색상과 화면 해상도, 긴 배터리 수명 등 여러 하드웨어 업그레이드가 이뤄졌다.[3]
eSight 3는 2017년 2월에 출시되었다.[4][5][6]타임지는 2017년 5월 '2017년 지금까지 최고의 테크놀로지' 명단에 이사이트를 포함시켰다.[7]
현 세대인 eSight 4는 2020년 초에 출시되었다.
사양
eSight에는 각 눈 앞에 하나씩 HD 컬러 디스플레이 2개가 포함되며, 사용자의 특정 처방에 맞춘 처방 렌즈가 있다.디스플레이는 이중 독립형 및 고대비 OLED 화면, 1024x768 해상도, 37.5도 시야를 갖췄다.기기 전면의 카메라는 21.5 MP의 Ultra HD로 영상을 캡처해 최대 24배 확대축소가 가능하다.eSight의 사용자 인터페이스는 HDMI와 USB 입력, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 및 이동식 SD 카드도 갖추고 있다.[4][5][6]
