사이바타르는 클라우드 기반 기술 플랫폼과 소프트웨어를 개발, 제조, 라이선스, 지원, 판매하는 기술 기업이다.
이 회사는 애초 2014년 10월 피와 은캄불(Phiwa Nkambule)이 소셜네트워크 업체로 설립했다가 2015년 온디맨드 서비스를 위한 SaaS 플랫폼으로 선회했다.[1]사이바타르는 금융기술기업 리오빅 등 다른 기술 스타트업 개발에 관여해 왔다.[2]2015년 이 회사는 남아프리카 기업가들이 온 디맨드 이코노미[5][6] 사상을 수용했다는 증거와 석유 산업 가치 사슬의 개선으로 받은 아프리카 최초의 연료 공급망을[3][4] 발표했다.남아프리카공화국에서 발생한 수수료무스트폴 시위가 발생하자 2016년 등록금 부채에 시달리며 금융배제에 직면한 전국의 학생들을 살리기 위해 대학장학금 크라우드펀딩 플랫폼과 캠페인을 시작했다.[7][8][9]
소프트웨어 회사는 정보기술(IT) 부문 2015년 아프리카 기업 우수상 후보지명을 통해 남아프리카공화국의 지역사회에 기술적으로 기여한 점에서도 국제적인 인정을 받았다.[2][10]그 후 2015년 11월 최우수 클라우드 컴퓨팅 기업 - 아프리카로 선정되었다.[11][12][13]
