컬레나흐 또는 컬리나흐(Irish: Cuileanach[1])는 아일랜드 공화국 로이스 카운티(이전에는 퀸즈 카운티 또는 카운티 레이스로 불렸다)에 있는 바론이다.[2][3]

어원

이 바론은 컬레나 언덕의 이름을 따서 지어졌는데, 압베일릭스와 티마호 사이에 위치한 이 언덕들은 317미터(1,040피트)의 높이로 솟아올라 트리오그 강의 원천을 포함하고 있다. 이 이름은 아일랜드 퀴레안, "홀리"에서 유래한 것으로 여겨진다.[4]

지리

컬레나흐는 남부 로이스 카운티에 위치해 있으며, 주로 노어 강의 동쪽에 있다. 남쪽 부분(킬케니 군과의 국경 부근)은 언덕으로, 슬리브 러프(Slive Lough) 또는 다이사트 힐스(Disart Hills)라고 불린다.[5]

역사

컬레나는 고대 로이스 왕국의 일부를 형성했다.[6] 북부는 메리버러 서부의 남부와 함께 투아스 피오디브후이데(오데보이의 영토)[7]의 일부였다.[8]

남부는 가일린(Gailine)이라고 불렸으며, 지형시 Tuilayadhfitasa ar Eirinn oigh (Giolla Naomh OO Huidhrin, d. 1420)에 언급되어 있다.

로이스-오팔리 재배지 이후 배링턴 가문은 컬레나흐에 땅을 받았다.[10] 그들의 후손들 중에는 법학자이자 작가인 조나 배링턴(1756/7–1834)이 있었다.
