칼 "찰스" 로더 (Carl "Charles" Roeder, 1848년 – 1911년 9월 9일)는 독일 태생의 영국 아마추어 고고학자, 항쿼리학자, 민속학자, 언어학자, 자연학자 등으로, "찰스 로더"라는 이름으로 그의 작품을 출판했다.

독일 튜링아의 게라에서 태어난 칼 로더는 21세 때 독일에서 영국 맨체스터로 이민을 왔다.그는 선박 창고에서 점원이 되었고 결국 맨체스터에서 자신의 사업을 시작했다.그는 고고학, 민속학, 언어학, 역사학, 지질학, 식물학 연구에 여가를 쏟았다.그는 랭커셔와 체셔 반쿼리 학회의 거래에서 로마 영국에 관한 그의 고고학적 연구에 관한 기사를 발표했다.그는 1887년에 그 협회의 회원이 되었고 1904년에 명예 회원으로 선출되었다.[1]

1897년부터 1900년까지 로데르는 맨체스터의 캐슬피드 지역에서 중요하고 선구적인 로마 유물의 발굴을 수행했다.그는 자신의 저서 '로마 맨체스터'(1900)에서 자신의 작품에 대해 보고했다.[2]
