Casa Padre는 텍사스주 브라운스빌에 위치한 보건 및 휴먼 서비스 부서인 미국 난민 재정착 사무소가 보관하고 있는 미동반 이민 미성년자들의 쉼터다.[2][3]그 건물은 이전에 월마트 매장이었다.이 센터는 비영리 단체 사우스웨스트 키 프로그램에 의해 연방 정부의 계약에 따라 운영된다.Casa Padre는 미국에서 가장 큰 허가를 받은 보육시설로 약 1,500명의 청소년이 거주하고 있다.[4][5]국세청에 따르면 이 단체는 미국에 약 5,129명의 이민자 아동들을 수용하고 있다.[6][7]

2018년 6월 3일, 제프 머클리 오리건 상원의원은 아이들의 생활 상태에 대한 조사의 일환으로 카사 파드레 시설 입소가 거부되었다.머클리와 시설 직원들 사이의 녹음된 교환은 유튜브에 업로드되어 110만 번 공유되었다.[8]
