Borail Wildlife Sanctuary

보라일 야생동물 보호구역은 인도 아삼의 남부에 위치하며, 카차르와 다이마 하사오 구에 있으며, 24°55΄53΄-25°055252΄ N위도와 92°274040΄-93°043030΄ E 경도 사이에 있다. 평균 해발 55-1000m의 고도. 그것은 326.24km에2 걸쳐 퍼져있다.[1] 연평균 강우량과 온도 범위는 각각 2500~4000mm와 9.2°C에서 36.2°C까지이며 습도는 62%에서 83%[2][3]까지 다양하다.

성역은 촉촉한 열대 상록수림과 반에버그린 숲으로 분류되는 북카차르보호림과 보라일보호림으로 이루어져 있다.[4] 그 숲에는 다양한 야생동물들이 서식하고 있다. 포유류로는 세로, 히말라야 흑곰, 훌록긴팔원숭이, 랑구르, 마카크, 정글고양이, 구름표범, 짖는 사슴 등이 있다. 발견된 새들은 흰 등딱지, 가느다란 새, 꿩, 뿔새 등이 있다. 파충류에는 락피톤과 킹 코브라가 있다.[5]

Besides above, the sanctuary also harbors a vast amount of floristic diversity e.g., Ornithochilus cacharensis, an epiphytic orchid species, Larsenianthus assamensis a terrestrial zingiber species, Diospyros cacharensis, a small deciduous tree belonging to family Ebenaceae, and Alseodaphne keenanii a large tree belonging to family Lauraceae were de이 성역을 위해 처음으로 지정되었으며, 모두 인도 북동부 지역이다.

가장 가까운 도시는 실차르로 40km 떨어져 있다.
