균은 유산소, 그램 가변, 막대 모양, 내포자 형성, 산화효소 양성 박테리아입니다.내포자는 타원체이며 중심/원심 포자낭에 위치하고 있습니다.실험실 조건에서는 Tryptic Soy Agar(TSA)에서 24~72시간 배양하면 30 ± 2°C에서 불투명하고 크림 같은 상승 여백 집락을 생성합니다.이러한 박테리아는 대변과 토양에서 분리될 수 있습니다.

인간의 병원성은 현재 [1][2]잘 설명되지 않았다.

이 종은 최근에 [3]프리스티아속으로 옮겨졌다.올바른 명명법은 프리스티아 플렉사입니다.
