오스트로메로페는 호주 [1][2]서부의 오스트로메로페 폴토니와 남아메리카의 오스트로메로페 브라실리엔시스 [3]두 종만을 포함하고 있는 포스플라이의 한 속이다.그들은 꼬리에 커다란 겸자 같은 구조와 두 쌍의 날개를 가진 작은 전갈자리입니다.포획된 성충의 알과 성충의 알만 알려져 있으며, 유충 단계는 아직 확인되지 않았다.이 곤충들의 생물학의 대부분은 그들의 분비성과 희귀성 때문에 알려져 있지 않다.
