스코틀랜드 문학 연구 협회(ASLS)는 스코틀랜드 문학의 교육, 연구, 쓰기를 장려하고 지원하기 위해 1970년에 설립된 스코틀랜드 교육 자선 단체다.[1] 창립 멤버로는 스코틀랜드의 문학자 매튜 맥디아미드(1914~1996)가 있었다. 원래 애버딘 대학에 기반을 두고 있던 이 학교는 1996년 글래스고 대학 내에 있는 현재의 집으로 이사했다. 2015년 11월, ASLS는 스코틀랜드 정부로부터 4만 파운드를 할당받아 교사 연수와 학교 교실 자원을 제공하는 업무를 지원받았다.[2]

ASLS의 주요 활동 분야는 출판이며, 그 기관은 출판 스코틀랜드의 회원이다.[3]

정기 간행물

ASLS는 스코틀랜드 문학 리뷰(이전의 스코틀랜드 연구 리뷰), 스코틀랜드 문학 및 문화 연구의 동료 리뷰 저널, 스코틀랜드 언어 및 언어학의 동료 리뷰 저널을 포함하여 정기 간행물을 제작한다. The International Journal of Scottish Writicals, 무료 온라인 동료 리뷰 저널 (2006–2013)과 무료 온라인 에진 (Robert Louis Stevenson의 단편 소설의 이름을 따서 명명)인 The Bottle Imp. 2013년 6월부터 스코틀랜드 문예 리뷰는 프로젝트 MUSE의 프리미엄 저널 컬렉션에 포함되었다.[4]

연간 볼륨

스코트노트

2010년 5월, ASLS는 로몬드 국립공원 및 트로사츠 국립공원과 제휴하여 원작 200주년을 기념하여 월터 스콧 경의 서술시 「호수의 여인」[33]의 삽화판을 발간하였다.

2011년 6월, 게일릭 북스 위원회의 재정 지원을 받아 ASLS는 설리 맥클린의 안 쿨리티온/더 쿠일린 신판을 발간했다.[34]

2013년 2월, ASLS는 크리에이티브 스코틀랜드가 설립한 "작가가 통상적인 환경에서 시간을 내어 그들의 실천을 발전시키기 위한 1년간의 문학 모험을 시작할 수 있도록" 창립 닥터 개빈 월러스 펠로우십을 주최했다.[35] 커스티 로건은 펠로우쉽의 첫 번째 수상자로 선정되었고,[36] 2015년 8월 10일 ASLS는 단편 A 휴대용 쉼터 컬렉션을 출간했다.[37]

전시회

2004년부터 ASLS는 미국 현대 언어 협회 연례 회의에서 스코틀랜드 글쓰기 전시회를 개최했으며, 가장 최근에는 2019년 1월 시카고에서 개최되었다.[38] 2008년 8월, 스코틀랜드 글쓰기 전시회가 덴마크 아르후스에서 열리는 2년마다 열리는 유럽영어연구학회(ESSE) 콘퍼런스에서 열렸다.
