아놀드 허버트 버스(Arnold Herbert Buss, 1924년 8월 7일 ~ 2021년 6월 26일)는 공격성, 기질, 자의식, 수줍음 등의 연구로 유명한 텍사스 대학교의 심리학 명예교수였다.^[2][3][4]

경력

버스스는 제2차 세계대전 당시 미국 육군에서 의무병으로 복무한 뒤 1947년 뉴욕대에서 B.A.를 받았고 1952년 인디애나대에서 박사학위를 받았다.1951년부터 1952년까지 아이오와 대학교에서 강사로 일했고, 그 후 라루 D에서 수석 심리학자로 일했다. 1952년부터 1957년까지 카터 기념 병원.1957년부터 1965년까지 피츠버그 대학교 교수, 1965년부터 1969년까지 러트거스 대학교 교수였다.1969년 오스틴에 있는 텍사스 대학교의 교수진에 정식 교수로 입사하여 2008년에 은퇴할 예정이다.^[3][4]
