J. 알렉 모티어

J로 알려진 존 알렉산더 모티어(1924년 8월 30일~2016년 8월 26일). 알렉 모티어는 아일랜드의 성서학자였다. 그는 클리프턴 신학대학의 교감이자 성당의 대리였다. 브리스톨 트리니티 칼리지의 교장이 되기 전 루크, 햄스테드, 그리고 웨스트본 (Bournmouth) (1981–1989)의 Christ Church. 그는 말년을 체셔의 포인턴에서 보냈다.

모티어는 1924년 8월 30일 더블린에서 태어나 더블린 주 트리니티 칼리지에 진학하기 전 더블린 주 트리니티 칼리지에서 교육을 받았으며, 그곳에서 예술 학사, 미술 석사, 신학 학사 학위를 받았다. 그는 옥스포드주 와이클리프 홀에서 성공회 목사가 되기 위해 훈련했다.
