2018년 4월 4일 열린 2018년 영연방경기대회 개막식에서 각국 국기를 든 71명의 선수들이 개최지인 호주 골드코스트의 카라라 스타디움으로 행진하며 대표단을 이끌었다.
퍼레이드 순서
이전 경기의 주최국인 전통에 따라 스코틀랜드가 먼저 입장하고, 나머지 유럽 국가들이 경쟁한다.[1][2] 이어 모든 나라가 각자의 지역에서 알파벳 순으로 퍼레이드를 펼친다. 유럽 국가들이 진출하면 아프리카, 아메리카, 아시아, 카리브해, 그리고 마지막으로 오세아니아에서 온 나라들이 행진한다.[3] 개최국인 호주가 꼴찌에 들어간다. 각 나라 앞에는 나라 이름이 적힌 팻말을 든 플래카드 전달자가 뒤따랐다.
총 39명의 남자 선수들이 자국의 국기를 들고 다녔고, 32명의 여자 선수들이 같은 일을 했다. 육상 경기는 육상 선수들이 이끄는 24개국이 참가한 가운데 가장 대표적인 스포츠였다.[4]
국가 및 국기 보유자
아래는 퍼레이드와 같은 순서로 퍼레이드 국가들과 그들이 발표한 깃발 전달자의 목록이다. 이것은 국가명, 국기수여자의 이름 또는 국기수여자의 스포츠로 분류할 수 있다. 이름은 CGF가 공식적으로 지정한 양식으로 주어진다.
