무척추동물보전을 위한 Xerces Society (Xerces Society)는 생물 다양성과 생태계 건강에 필수적인 것으로 여겨지는 무척추동물의 보존에 초점을 맞춘 비영리 환경단체다. 그 이름은 멸종된 캘리포니아 나비인 Xerces blue를 기리기 위한 것이다.[2]

이 협회는 미국 농무부를 포함한 연방 및 주 정부 기관, 그리고 과학자, 토지 관리자, 교육자, 시민들과 협력하여 무척추동물 보존, 응용 연구, 옹호, 공공 홍보 및 교육을 촉진한다.[3] 제이스 소사이어티 활동의 예로는 무척추동물과 그 서식지 옹호, 군주나비 등 해당 종에 대한 멸종위기종 지정 [4]청원, 공교육 사업 등이 있다. 현재 진행 중인 사업으로는 멸종위기종 서식지 재활, 토종 꽃가루 매개체의 중요성에 대한 공교육, 유역 복원 및 보호 등이 있다.[5]

이 단체는 예일대 임업환경과학대학 출신의 나비 과학자 로버트 마이클 파일에 의해 설립되었으며, 1988년 4월 14일 오리건 주정부장관과 재회사로 설립되었다.[6]
