와일은 지구에서 볼 때 달의 반대편에 위치한 달 충돌 분화구이다.그것은 더 큰 분화구인 페르스만의 남동쪽에 있다.남동쪽은 카메링 오네스, 북동쪽은 쉬턴버그입니다.

이것은 심하게 침식된 분화구이며 외부 테두리가 손상되어 있습니다.서쪽 절반의 작은 크레이터를 포함하여 테두리를 따라 내부에는 여러 개의 크레이터가 있습니다.대부분의 와일은 오름 분화구에서 슈턴버그 남동쪽으로 가는 광선계의 일부에 의해 덮여 있다.
