웨스턴 인터내셔널 리그는 미국 서북부와 캐나다 서부의 중·고위급 마이너 리그 야구 회로였다. 비공식적으로 "윌리" 루프라고 알려진 이 [1][2]루프는 1922년, 1937년–1942년, 1946년–1954년에 운영되었다.[3][4] 1955년 노스웨스트 리그로 명칭을 변경하여 2019년까지 그 이름으로 A-Short 시즌 루프로 운영되었다.[5] 2021년 마이너리그 개편에서는 대부분의 노스웨스트 리그 팀들이 하이에이 웨스트 서킷의 멤버가 되었다.

WIL은 미국 오레곤, 워싱턴, 아이다호 주와 캐나다 브리티시 컬럼비아와 앨버타의 팀으로 구성되었다.[1] 1951년까지 B급 리그였으며 1952년에 A급으로 격상되었다. 1954년 마지막 시즌에는 캘거리, 에드먼턴, 루이스턴, 살렘, 스포캔, 켄뉴익-리치랜드-파스코('트리 시티' 역), 밴쿠버, 빅토리아, 웨나치, 야키마 등 10개 팀으로 출발했다.[6] 세 팀이 시즌을 마치지 못했다(스포카네, 빅토리아, 캘거리).[7] 최종 우승자는 4경기에서 루이스턴 브롱크스를 휩쓴 밴쿠버 카필라노스였다. 밴쿠버는 전반전 우승자였고, 후반전 3년차 루이스턴은 우승자였다.[8]

1930년대와 1940년대의 많은 기간 동안, 그것의 팀들은 대부분 메이저 리그 농장 시스템과 무관했고 그 시대의 강력한 태평양 코스트 리그에 재능을 제공했다.
