와무란은 오스트레일리아 퀸즐랜드 주 모어튼베이 지역에 있는 시골 마을이자 지역이다.[2][3]2016년 인구조사에서 와무란은 3,196명의 인구를 가지고 있었다.[1]

와무란은 신선한 딸기와 파인애플로 유명하다.

와무란은 카불투레의 더 큰 중심부 서쪽, 다구릴라의 남동쪽에 위치해 있다.

와무란의 북쪽에는 Beerburrum West State Forest의 몇 개의 작은 구역이 있다.남쪽 서쪽 경계선의 일부는 카불투레 강으로 표시되어 있다.

역사

이 지역은 1909년 지역 원주민인 멘빌 와무란(Jacky Delaney라고도 알려져 있음)[2]의 이름을 따서 이름이 붙여진 철도역에서 유래되었다.

뉴랜드 임시 학교는 1915년에 개교하여 1927년에 문을 닫았다.[4][5]

와무란 임시 학교는 1921년 10월 17일에 개교했다.이후 와무란 주립학교가 되었고, 아마도 1925년 이전에 엘림바 근처의 트윈뷰 주립학교였던 새로운 학교 건물로 이사했을 것이다.[6][7]
