Venator marginatus는 늑대거미(Lycosidae)로 호주의 고유종으로 빅토리아주에서 [2][3]발견된다.
그것은 1900년에 헨리 로튼 [2][1]호그에 의해 기술되었다.그러나 2015년 볼커 프라메나우는 두 개의 암컷 표본에서 생식기 형상이 [4]이 속과 일치하지 않는다고 밝히며 "인세르타 세디스(incert sedis)"라고 선언했다.(이 뷰는 Australian Faunal Directory에 의해 받아들여집니다).[2]
