2019년 11월 22일 퀸즐랜드 주 정부는 바르칼딘 지역의 지역들을 통합하기로 결정하였고, 그 결과 더 큰 도시를 기반으로 5개의 지역이 확장되었다.알파, 아라맥, 바칼딘, 제리코, 무타부라.업랜드는 아라맥에 [3][4][5]합병되었다.
지리
고지대는 중부 웨스트 퀸즐랜드의 사막 고지대에 있다.그 지역의 중심에는 작은 [6]담수호인 던 호수가 있다.주요 토지 용도는 소의 [7]방목이다.
그 지역은 북서쪽으로 커다란 소금 [7]호수인 갈릴리 호수와 접해 있다.
교육
고지에는 학교가 없다.가장 가까운 학교는 아라맥에 있어 10년차 교육을 받을 수 있는 학교이다.Upland 인근에서는 원격 [7]교육을 제외하고 11년차 및 12년차 교육은 제공되지 않습니다.
명소
던 호수에는 오두막과 캠핑 시설이 있다.인기 있는 활동은 조류 관찰, 낚시, 수영, 수상 스키, 윈드 서핑, 요트 [8]타기와 피크닉입니다.
아라맥에서 던 호수와 레인저스 밸리로 가는 길을 따라 조각 산책로가 있습니다.이곳에는 동물과 아웃백 [9]리빙을 주제로 한 지역 예술가 밀린다 로버츠의 조각품 30여 점이 있다.
