제45조약

Treaty 45

매니툴린 섬 조약, 매니토우닝 조약 또는 본드 헤드 조약이라고 불리는 조약 45는 매니툴린 섬 전체를 [1]보호구역으로 전환한 조약이다.

조약 45는 1836년 8월 영국 [2][1][3]왕실의 대표로서 오다가와, 오지브와 프란시스 본드 헤드 16명 사이에 협상되었다.The Canadian Encyclopedia의 한 항목은 "협상"과는 달리, 그 대신 Bond Head가 조약 문서에 이들 [4]지도자들의 서명을 "수집"했다는 것을 암시한다.본드 헤드는 원주민들과 매년 선물을 교환하기 위해 부분적으로 매니툴린 섬으로 여행을 갔었다; 역사학자 로버트 J. Surcites에 따르면,[5] 그는 그곳에서 조약 협상을 "좀 더 결정적인 조치를 취했다"고 한다.
