틸마티니

Tlamatini

슬라마티니(plural tlamatinime)는 "무엇을 아는 사람"을 뜻하는 나후아틀어로서 일반적으로 "현명한 사람"으로 번역된다. 이 단어는 "뭔가"로 번역할 수 있는 불특정 무생물체를 나타내는 접두사 "알게"와 "특징된 사람..."이라는 뜻의 파생 접미사 -ni와 함께 tla-mati-ni "무엇을 아는 사람" 또는 그 이상에 해당하는 "아는 사람"에서 파생된 것으로 분석된다.".[1]

유명한 나후아틀어 번역가 겸 통역가 미겔 레온 포르티야(Miguel Leon-Portilla)는 틸마티니를 철학자로 지칭하며 이들은 그의 저서 아즈텍 사상과 문화의 주제다.[2][3]
