JAM/STAPL(표준 테스트 및 프로그래밍 언어)[1]은 프로그래밍 가능한 로직 디바이스의[2] JTAG 인서킷 프로그래밍용으로 Altera가 개발한 표준으로 JESD-71에 정의되어 있습니다.

STAPL은 표준 .jam 파일 형식을 정의하여 시스템 내 프로그래밍 가능 또는 프로그래밍 가능 장치 [3][4][5]구성을 지원합니다.JTAG 디바이스 프로그래머는 PLD를 프로그래밍하도록 지시하는 명령 세트로서 파일을 읽어내는 JAM 플레이어를 실장한다.
