세넥스 에너지 리미티드(Senex Energy Limited, Senex)는 1984년 호주 증권거래소(ASX)에 상장된 호주의 에너지 기업이다.[2]이름은 약어가 아니라 라틴어 세넥스를 가리킨다.[3]

운영

세넥스는 호주의 쿠퍼 분지에 석유자산을 생산하고 있으며 남호주, 퀸즐랜드 등지에서 7만 평방킬로미터 이상을 차지하는 탐사허가를 운영하고 있다.[4][5]

석유생산

세넥스는 2012년 12월 모움바 유전처리시설로 송유관을 통해 연결됐던 그랜슬러 유전 등 남호주 쿠퍼 분지에 10개 이상의 유전사업장을 운영하고 있다.[6][7][8]

세넥스에너지는 2015년 2월 남호주 쿠퍼분지 서쪽 측면에 있는 마틀렛 노스-1 탐사선에서 유류비 지급구역을 발견했다.[9]

가스 탐사

세넥스는 남호주 쿠퍼 분지에서 상업적 규모의 파격적인 가스 자원을 개발하고자 하는 소수의 탐사 회사 중 하나이다.[10]세넥스는 가스 탐사 프로그램 비용을 분담하기 위해 다국적 에너지 회사와 제휴하지 않았다.[11][12][6]

역사

세넥스는 1984년 8월 빅토리아 석유 N.L.로 ASX에 등재되었다.당시 이 회사는 퍼스에 본사를 두고 2010년 9월 이사회에서 물러난 존 콥체프 창업총괄이사가 대표를 맡고 있었다.[13]

2010년 6월 이언 데이비스 상무이사를 발표하면서 본사를 브리즈번으로 이전할 것을 권고했다.[14]올해 말 이 회사는 쿠퍼와 수라트 바진스에서 석유와 가스 개발에 대한 "적극적인 개발 프로그램"[15]을 발표했고, 추가적인 리더쉽 임명과 함께 회사의 위상과 헌법을 개정하기 위한 주주 승인을 얻었다.[18]

2011년 2월 14일 세넥스 에너지 리미티드(Senex Energy Limited)로 정식 명칭을 변경하고 ASX 티커 코드 'SXY'[3][4]를 채택했다.1주일 후, 그 회사는 동료 쿠퍼 분지 석유 생산업체 스튜어트 석유와 합병을 발표했다.[19]

세넥스는 2012년 4월 ASX/S&P 200지수에 편입됐다.[20]2013년 3월, ASX는 보고 목적으로 회사의 분류를 광업생산기업으로 개정하였다.[6]

2021년 12월 13일, 세넥스는 한국 철강회사인 포스코인터내셔널에 6억 1천만 달러에 인수하기로 합의했다.[21]
