파인타운은 미국 델라웨어주 서섹스 카운티에 있는 비법인 공동체다.피네타운은 루이스 남서쪽 레드밀 폰드 인근 스위트브라이어 로드에 위치해 있다.[2]

역사

1965년경 피네타운의 인구는 75명이었다.[3]

1997년 한 신문 기사는 주로 흑인 사회가 고립된 지역에 위치해 있다고 지적했다.당시 주민은 250여 명이었으나 사업체나 버스 운행은 없었다.피네타운의 거주자들은 일반적으로 8명의 형제자매들의 후손이라고 알려져 있다.지역사회의 대부분의 구조물은 이동식 주택이었다.[4]지역사회의 아이들은 교육을 받기 위해 다른 도시의 학교로 보내졌다.[5]

3년 후, 윌밍턴 뉴스 저널에 실린 기사는 약 150명의 인구를 추정했다.[6]2006년 피네타운 시민회는 새로운 주민센터를 완공했다.[7]2015년 델라웨어 주택위원회 위원회는 파인타운 시민협회와 제휴하여 파인타운에 개선과 자원을 가져왔다.[8]

위치

피네타운은 루이스에서 서쪽으로 7마일(11km), 하베슨에서 동쪽으로 3.2km 떨어져 있다.[4]
