팔라에몬과(Palaemonidae)는 십이지장새우목 새우과이다.많은 종들은 작은 무척추동물을 먹는 육식동물이고, 깊은 바다를 제외한 모든 수중 서식지에서 발견될 수 있다.한 가지 중요한 속은 상업적인 어종을 포함하고 있는 마크로브라키움이다.산호초에서 서식하는 다른 종들은 해면동물, 카니다리아류, 연체동물, 극피동물과 같은 특정 무척추동물과 더 깨끗한 새우, 기생충, 또는 상조동물과 어울립니다.그들은 보통 잔해를 먹고 살지만, 일부는 육식동물이고 작은 [1]동물들을 사냥합니다.
