오우그테라드(Irish: Uachtar Ard)[2]는 아일랜드 주 코네마라에 있는 로프 코리브 서쪽 해안에 가까운 오웬리프 강둑에 있는 작은 마을이다. 2016년 이 마을의 인구는 1,318명이었다.[1] N59도로 갈웨이 북서쪽 약 26km 지점에 위치해 있다. 오우그테라드는 러프 코리브의 주요 낚시 센터다.[3]

명승지

마을 외곽 3킬로미터에는 중세 탑집의 잘 보존된 예인 아우그나누르 성 유적이 서 있다.[4] 주변 지역의 상당 부분은 오플라허티 일족이 차지하고 있었으나 1256년 울스터 제1대 백작 발터 드 버그에 의해 점령되었다. 로스 성은 또한 오우그테라드 외곽의 수 킬로미터 거리에 위치해 있다. 오늘날 보이는 이 저택은 17세기에 마틴 가문에 의해 지어졌지만, 그 토대에는 오플라허 가문에 의해 15세기에 지어진 원래의 성곽 구조에 대한 몇 가지 증거가 아직도 남아 있다.

운송

우그테라드 철도역은 1895년 1월 1일에 개통되었고 1935년 4월 29일에 폐쇄되었다. N59를 따라 갈웨이와 클리프덴을 오가는 일일 버스가 있다. 시티 링크와 버스 에리안은 갈웨이를 오가는 두 가지 버스 서비스다.[citation needed]

편의시설

오우그테라드에는 '스코일 추이민 아구스 카이트리오나'[7]라는 초등학교가 있고, 공동교육자립 중등학교인 세인트 폴스가 있다.[8] 오우그테라드에는 또한 이 마을의 옛 법당에 근거지를 둔 공공 도서관이 있고, 공공 체육관이 있는 커뮤니티 센터도 있다.[citation needed]

이벤트

오우그테라드는 매년 5월 초에 낚시 축제를 연다. 축제는 4일간 지속되며 낚시 행사, 미술 전시회, 음악회 등이 있다.[9]

스포츠

지역 게일릭 체육회 클럽인 오우그테라드 GAA는 2020년 올아일랜드 중간 클럽 축구 선수권대회에서 우승했다.[10]

도시 외곽에 위치한 오우그테라드 골프클럽은 1969년 설립돼 1970년대 초 개발됐다.[11] 18홀 챔피언십 코스로 클럽하우스, 프로샵, 레스토랑 등으로 구성된다.[12]
