마이크로세큘러스(Microcerculus)는 중앙아메리카와 남아메리카 열대지방에 서식하는 트롤로디티과(Troglodytae)과에 속하는 새의 속이다.
이것들은 매우 짧은 꼬리, 긴 다리 그리고 긴 지폐를 가진 작은 렌들이다.그들은 습한 숲에서 땅 위나 근처에서 먹이를 찾는다.[1]
이 속은 1861년 영국의 자연주의자인 오스버트 샐빈이 인쇄물에 처음 언급하였다.Salvin은 동물학자 Philip Sclater가 이름을 조작했다고 인정하지만 Sclater의 미국 조류에 관한 책은 1862년에야 출판되었다.[2][3]몇몇 분류학자들은 Sclater가 1862년에 그 속을 세운 것으로 믿는다.[4][5]이후 1864년 미국의 자연주의자 스펜서 베어드에 의해 날개띠 렌(Microcherculus bambla)으로 지정되었다.[6]속명은 "작은"을 뜻하는 고대 그리스 미크로스와 "꼬리"를 의미하는 케르코스의 약칭이다.[7]
