마니쉬 티와리는 인도의 영화 감독이자 시나리오 작가다.[1][2] 이사크, 딜 도스티 등등의 영화를 감독하고 집필했다.[3] 잇사크에 이어 매니쉬도 차기 갱스터 드라마 모하바트 미야에 출연 중이다.[4]

어린 시절과 경력

마니쉬는 자르칸드의 작은 마을에 있는 기숙학교 틸라이야에서 학교 교육을 마쳤다.[5] 마니쉬 티와리는 델리 대학의 힌두 대학에서 동물학을 공부했다.[6] 마니쉬는 이후 영국 케임브리지 대학과 미국 예일대에서 대학원 교육을 받았다. 마니쉬는 로마, 네팔, 인도 유엔 식량농업기구에서 일했으며, 인도 경제정치주간지에 정치생태에 관한 기사를 게재했다. 그의 모노그래프 "인도의 참여 숲 정책과 정치: 자르칸드와 웨스트 벵골의 공동 산림 관리 기관"은 영국 애쉬게이트에 의해 출판되었다.[7][8]

마니쉬는 비평가들로부터 호평을 받은 두 영화인 딜 도스티 이스와 잇사크를 6년이라는 짧은 기간에 감독했다.[9]
