올해의 트로피컬 살사 남성 아티스트상(또는 올해의 트로피컬 남성 아티스트상)은 미국 네트워크 유니비전이 매년 수여하는 영예다.로 누에스트로 상은 1989년에 처음 수여되었으며 라틴 음악에서 가장 재능 있는 연주자들을 인정하기 위해 매년 시상되어 왔다.[1]후보자와 수상자는 원래 미국 내 스페인어 라디오 방송국의 프로그램 감독들 사이에서 실시된 투표에 의해 선정되었으며 빌보드 라틴 음악 차트의 차트 성적을 바탕으로 선정되었으며, 그 결과는 회계법인 딜로이트가 표로 작성하고 인증하였다.[1][2]현재 관객들은 온라인 설문조사를 통해 수상자를 선정하고 있다.[3]수여되는 트로피는 3등분 형태로 되어 있다.[1]이 부문은 원래 올해의 열대 살사 아티스트(1989-1992)로 수상되었으며, 1993년부터는 올해의 여성 아티스트와 올해의 남성 아티스트로 분리되었다.
이 상은 1993년 푸에르토리코계 미국인 가수 제리 리베라에게 처음 수여되었다.미국 가수 마크 앤서니는 14개 후보 중 8개로 최다 수상 기록을 보유하고 있다.앤서니는 올해의 팝 남성 아티스트상(2001년)도 받았다.[4]각각 3, 4, 2회 수상하는 푸에르토리코 출신 가수 리베라, 로이스 왕자, 엘비스 크레스포는 앤서니 외에 유일하게 복수 수상자다.연기자 폰세카, 프랭키 네그론, 로미오 산토스, 티토 엘 밤비노가 각각 3차례나 후보에 오르는 등 무승부로 가장 많은 후보에 올랐다.
