카용가는 우간다의 중부 지방에 있는 마을이다.가은가 구의 주요 시·행정·상업 중심지다.[2]

위치

카용가는 우간다의 수도이자 가장 큰 도시인 캄팔라에서 북동쪽으로 약 72km(45mi) 떨어진 전천후 활주로 고속도로에 있다.[3]이곳은 우간다 제2 공업도시 진자 시 북서쪽 약 49km(30mi)의 도로로 전천후 타맥 고속도로에 있다.[4]

마을의 좌표는 0°42'12.0"N, 32°54'13.0"E(위도:0.70333, 경도:32.903611)이다.[5]카윤가 타운은 평균 해발 1,063미터(3,488피트)의 높이에 위치해 있다.[6]

인구

2002년의 마지막 전국 인구 조사에 따르면, 카옌가 마을은 약 19,800명의 인구를 가지고 있었다.2010년 우간다 통계국(UBOS)은 인구가 2만3100명으로 추정했다.UBOS에 따르면 2011년 중간인구는 2만3600명으로 추산됐다.[7]2014년 전국 인구조사에서 인구는 26,588명이다.[8]

2015년 UBOS는 카윤가 타운 인구를 27,400명으로 추산했다.2020년 그는 인구조사기관에서 이연인구를 3만명으로 추산했다.이 중 1만5600명(52%)이 여성이었고 1만4400명(48%)이 남성이었다.UBOS는 2015~2020년 가윤가 인구 증가율을 매년 평균 1.8%로 계산했다.[1]

관심장소

다음 관심 지점은 마을 경계 내에 있거나 가장자리에 가깝다.[5]

카용가 타운 의회와 카용가 구청의 사무실은 시내 중심부에 위치하고 있다.또한 이곳에는 카윤가 기자협회 본사와 비정부기구인 농촌개발권한구상(RIDE-UGANDA) 본사와 카윤가 중앙시장도 위치해 있다.[5]

시내 한복판에 200병상 규모의 카용가 지역 소개병원이 있다.이 시설은 2018~2021년 700억 달러를 들여 개보수·확장했다.당시 미화 2천만 달러).[9][10]

카윤가~갈리라야 도로의 남단은 시내 중심부에 위치한다.또한 카용가-부사아나-나부가니 길의 서쪽 끝은 카용가에 있다.[5]183메가와트 이심바 수력 발전소는 카윤가 마을의 북동쪽에 있는 도로 21km(13mi)에 위치해 있다.[11]
